Description

The Maintenance and Logistics Command Pacific, Naval Engineering Division, intends to contract for the Steam Systems repair of USCGC POLAR STAR. The contractor shall furnish all necessary labor, materials, services, equipment, supplies, power, accessories, and such other things necessary to repair the following: Tanks (Feedwater and Condesate) clean and inspect, Helo Hanger Steam Preheater Renewal (CSMP DTD 25 Oct), Steam Preheater Coil cleaning and Hydro Test (CSMP 98089), Steam Valve Overhauls (CSMP 00126). Work will be performed during the period of 23 Jan 01 through 01 Mar 01 at cutter's homeport in Seattle, WA. In accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Program an RFQ (Request for Quotation) will be issued on 04 Jan 01. For Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises, The Department of Transportation (DOT) Minority, Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization has programs to assist minority, women owned and disadvantaged enterprises to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at the prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $500,000.
