Description

The contractor shall provide all personnel, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, supervision and all other items necessary to perform all operations in connection with the inspection, testing, recharging and maintenance of installed dry and wet chemical fire extinguishing systems, Halon fire extinguishing systems, carbon dioxide (CO2) fire extinguishing systems, 2 _ gallon water portable fire extinguishers, dry chemical portable fire extinguishers, C02 portable fire extinguishers, and Halon 150lb wheeled extinguishers at Tyndall AFB, Fl. This non-personal service requirement is issued as a Request for Proposal (RFP) using FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items. The Government anticipates award of a firm fixed price contract with a performance period of a base year, commencing on or about 1 February 01, and one option year. Source selection for this performance based service contract will be conducted using Best Value source selection and process techniques. This solicitation is set-aside exclusively for small business. The Standard Industrial Classification is 7389 with a small business having annual revenue of less than $5m. The North American Industrial Classification is 56199. Bidders mailing list is not maintained. Down load solicitation/statement of need from Electronic Posting System. Contractors must comply with DFARS 252-.204-7304, Central Contractor Registration. Contractors can access information on referenced clauses at http://farsite.hill.af.mil. The closing date established for receipt of proposals is 4:00 p.m. 08 Jan 01 as instructed in the RFP.
