Description

Market Survey/Request for Information. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) in Atlanta, GA. will be requiring services for timely acquisition and infectious disease testing of freshly drawn Human Blood, Blood Products, Saliva and urine. Contractor shall furnish all personnel, facilities and supplies and equipment to meet the CDC_s needs for fresh whole blood and apheresis products from apparently healthy, normal, volunteer donors including daily early morning on-site drawing of small volumes of blood (less than 200mls) at CDC campuses at 1600 Clifton Road Atlanta, GA 30333 and 4770 Buford Highway Atlanta, GA 30341. The contractor will provide off-site facilities. The Government is also seeking innovativeness relating to volunteer pool maintenance, procedures for consent and confidentiality of volunteer donors, and approaches to cost effectiveness. The Government is further seeking information on Industry Practices, Contractual Relationships, Pricing, Quality Control and Assurance Practices. Information submitted shall also include: (1) telephone and fax number of point of contact (2) NAICS Code (3) Type of business (i.e.: small business, small disadvantaged 8(a) certified, Woman-owned small business, small disadvantaged business (not 8(a) certified). Valentine by 2:00 p.m. January 19, 2001. This market survey/request for information is for planning purposes only, and shall not be construed as a Request for Proposal (RFP) or as an obligation on the part of the Government to acquire any follow-on acquisition. The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this market survey/request for information or otherwise pay for the information solicited. No entitlement to payment of direct or indirect costs or charges by the Government will arise as a result of the submission of responses to this market survey/request for information. The Government reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part any industry input as a result of this market survey/request for information. This market survey/request for information does not constitute the solicitation of any proposals and authority to enter into negotiations to award a contract. Although the Government would prefer to review non-proprietary information, proprietary information will be accepted.
