Description

The U. S. Secret Service intends to negotiate, on a sole source basis, with Smith Meyers, Inc., 1418 Norman Street, Suite 11, Palm Bay, FL 32907, for Digital Cellular Tracking Equipment, direction finding unit and training to support protective and investigative missions. System must be modular; capable of tuning to the 800Mhz and 19MHz TDMA simultaneously, dual band, dual mode; controlled by using a laptop computer running Windows 95, 98, 2000, or NT; and still capable of functioning if one or more of the modules fail. ITEM NO. 0001 -Smith Meyers, Digital Cellular Tracking Equipment, Model CSM7806, Qty. 4, EACH, ITEM NO. 0002 -- Datong DF10C with 1900 MHZ option, Qty 4, EACH, ITEM NO. 0003 -- 3 day training class on the above equipment to be conducted in Washington, DC. Delivery: February 1, 2001. F.O.B. Destination. Inspection and acceptance shall be at destination. Solicitation package is not available. This is a notice of intent to sole source and is not a request for competitive proposals. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed requirement, on a full and open competitive basis upon receipt of responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for the purposes of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested firms must submit capability statements and provide written pricing information. Only written responses will be accepted and must be received within seven (7) calendar days of the date of this notice.
