Description

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal and Plant Inspection Services (APHIS), Veterinary Services (VS), Accelerated Pseudorabies Emergency Program (APEP) intends to acquire a single facility to euthanize and render an estimated 150,000 hogs in the State of Iowa to eradicate pseudorabies. Hogs have to be transported from the producer to the slaughter plants. The facility must be loacted in the central part of the state. The contract performance period is from February 6, 2001 through September 30, 2001 with a one-year option. This will be a requirements-type contract.
