Description

The Monongahela National Forest anticipates contracting for the 2001 Gypsy Moth Mating Disruption Project for VA, WV, NC, OH, IL, IN, and WI. The contractor will be required to provide all labor; equipment; materials (except for Disrupt II and other items identified as Government Furnished Property); transportation, including a Differentially Corrected Global Positioning Sytem-Based Aircraft Tracking Guidance and Flight Path Recording System (DGPS) in the application aircraft and separate observation aircraft for each treatment area; and other items to aerially treat approximately 200,00 acres (+/- 15%). Insecticide to be appied is pheromone flakes, Disrupt II mixed with a sticker, Gelva 2333. Treatment blocks range in size from approximately 100 acres to 30,000 acres and the elevations range from 500 to 3,600 feet MSL. The solicitation requires the submission of technical and business proposals to be evaluated on the following basis: 1) Technical approach; 2) Equipment; 3) Personnel Experience; and 4) Firm's Experience and Concurrent Workload.
