Description

ISSUE DATE: 01/12/01. Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision and disposal necessary for Drainage Improvements at USCG Group Moriches, East Moriches, NY. The work includes installing a catch basin and prefabrication pump station, 200 LF of 4" PVC drainage line and other incidental related work. Estimated cost range of this project is between $25,000 and $100,000. Solicitation packages to be available on or about 01/12/01. The date for receipt of quotations is 02/12/01 at 4:00 pm local time. Our office no longer issues solicitations or amendments in paper form. THE FOLLOWING NOTICE IS PROVIDED AS INFORMATION FOR MINORITY, WOMEN-OWNED, AND DISADVANTAGED BUSINESS ENTERPRISES: The Dept of Transportation (DOT) Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) has programs to assist minority, women-owned and disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts. This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier. The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid, payment and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against losses. Loans are available under the DOT Short-term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The max. line of credit is $500,000.
