Description

The Contractor shall provide all labor, supervision, equipment, and incidental supplies necessary to perform Road Grading, Culvert Cleaning and Ditch Cleaning on various Forest Service roads within the boundaries of the Daniel Boone National Forest in Clay, Jackson, Laurel, Leslie, McCreary, Menifee, Owsley, Pulaski, Whitley and Wolfe Counties, Kentucky. There will generally be two grading periods during the year, one in the Spring and one in the late Summer. Work will consist of (1)Surface blading of aggregate surfaced roads to remove washboarding, potholes and other irregularities, as well as redistributing and smoothing surface aggregate; (2)Cleaning out the ends of drainage culverts; and (3)Cleaning debris out of roadside ditches. Multiple contracts may be awarded based on the low price for each bid item. This project is estimated at between $100,000 and $250,000.
