Description

This synopsis provides notification of a new requirement of the United States Marshals Service (USMS) for the replacement of its existing Sabreliner aircraft for which Congress has appropriated $13.5M. The USMS requirement is for the purchase of two (2) turbo jet aircraft with a passenger capacity of 8-19. New or used aircraft are acceptable. Both aircraft will need to be of the same model with the same primary avionics, instrument displays, and engines. A performance specification with minimum and desired requirements will be provided as part of the solicitation. Solicitation MS-01-R-0005 will be issued in Draft form on or about 17 January 2001, with a period of 15 days allotted for comments and questions. A pre-solicitation conference will be held on or about 1 February 2001 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, for all interested parties. Details of the pre-solicitation conference will be included in the Draft Request For Proposals (RFP). This notice shall be considered to have fulfilled the synopsis requirements set forth in FAR 5.201. Requests for Draft Solicitation MS-01-R-0005, must be in writing and may be requested by facsimile at (405)680-3466.
