Description

The Coastal Systems Station, Dahlgren Division, NSWC, Panama City, Florida intends to solicit competitive quotations for stainless steel armored tow cable. Specifications for the tow cable are: 2000 feet continuous length; Inner Core -- 16 fibers, 8 multi mode fibers, 62.5/125um and 8 single mode fibers (no specified dimensions) encased in a .125" gel filled stainless steel tube; 6 single conductors, 16 awg, insulated, with 1200VAC voltage rating, color coded; water blocked; outer jacketed with polyurethane and covered with 2-layer Stainless Steel Armor -- Inner Layer 24 pieces of .056" Diameter, Outer Layer 40 pieces of .042" Diameter; 6000 lb maximum load, 24000 lb breaking strength; minimum bend diameter of 16 inches or less; Outer Diameter of .626". Delivery will be to the Coastal Systems Station, 6703 West Highway 98, Panama City, Florida, 32407-7001. Required delivery date is within 90 days after purchase order award.
