Description

The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), Animal Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS), Plant Protection Quarantine (PPQ), Waimanalo, HI. intends to purchase 20,000 pounds of Torula Yeast, packed in 50lb bags and palletized (40/pallet), pallet will be shrink wrapped. The government intends to contract this procurement with Lake States, Div. of Rhinelander Paper Co. in accordance with FAR 6.302-1. Only one responsible source and no other supplies will satisfy agency requirements. The government knows of no other source which can meet our exact requirements and believes this procurement to be proprietary to Lake States, Div of Rhinelander Paper Co. This is a Simplified Acquisition with an estimated value of less than $33,000. This is not a request for proposals and there is no solicitation available. Interested firms may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. Firms interested in bidding on this in the future should submit in writing , their name, address, point of contact, telephone number, business size, a brief statement regarding capability to provide the specified procurement, and points of contact for businesses or other government agencies to which it has previously provided this type of procurement. The information should be submitted to the address or facsimile number stated herein. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government also reserves the right to solicit offers based on receipt of affirmative responses to this notice. Telephone requests or inquiries will not be accepted.
