Description

D The U. S. Dept of Commerce/(DOC) National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) National Weather Service (NWS) Office of Hydrology intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Mr. Roger A. Hoekstra, San Antonio, TX., to provide realtime operational support for the Hydrometeorological Automated Data System (HADS). The Office of Hydrologic Development (OHD) is responsible for providing realtime data products consisting primarily of rainfall amounts and river stage values to thirteen (13) National Weather Service (NWS) river Forecast Centers (RFC) and all 124 Weather Service Forecast Offices (WFO). These products are made available by the Hydrometeorologic Automated Data System (HADS) and are used in daily river forecasting, and provide critical realtime information for the issuance of flash flood and major river basin flood warnings. This is a notice of intent and cannot be considered a solicitation, therefore no solicitation package exist. Award will be made using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. Reference NWWC-5
