Description
Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform drydocking and repairs including but not limited to the following base items: (1) Inspect Engine Skeg Top Plate, (2) Clean and Inspect Fuel and Waste Oil Tank (s), (3) Remove and Dispose of Fuel, (4) Remove and Dispose of Oil and Oily Water, (5) Fabricate and Install Watertight Door Hinge Pads, (6) Inspect Bronze Sleeves in Various Shaft Packing Areas, (7) Remove, Inspect, and Reinstall Propeller Shafts, (8) Perform Stern Tube/Strut Alignment Inspection, (9) Inspect and Install Government-Furnished Propeller Shaft, (10) Renew Water Lubricated Propeller Shaft Bearings, (11) Remove and Reinstall Propellers, (12) Inspect MDE and SSDG Exhaust System, (13) Overhaul Fuel Oil Manifold Valves, (14) Preserve The Transducer Hull Ring and Renew The V850 Transducer, (15) Install Two Air Handlers, (16) Overhaul, Renew and Test Valves, (17) Inspect and Overhaul Duplex Sea Strainers, (18) Renew Rudders, (19) Overhaul Stabilizing Fins, (20) Hydroblast Clean Sewage and Grey Water Piping System, (21) Renew Port and Starboard Bridge Sliding Windows, (22) Preserve Forepeak Compartment, (23) Preserve and Disinfect Potable Water Tank(s), (24) Preserve Bilge Areas Below Fin Stabilizers, (25) Preserve Underwater Body, (26) Renew Draft Figures, (27) Inspect and Maintain Cathodic Protection System, (28) Renew Reference Electrode, (29) Renew Cathodic Anode, (30) Renew Deck Covering System, (31) Renew Insulation In The Em Storage Space, (32) Provide Temporary Logistics, and (33) Routine Drydocking. Optional Items include but are not limited to the following: (1) Welding Repairs, (2) Renew Engine Room Skeg Top Plate, (3) Preserve Sewage and Grey Water Collection Holding Tank(s), (4) Renew Rudder Bearings, (5) Renew Lower Fin Stock Bearing, (6) Renew Capastic Fairing, (7) Ultrasonic Testing, (8) Provide Additional Temporary Logistics, and (9) Composite Labor Rate. Vessel_s homeport is Atlantic Beach, North Carolina. Vessel length is 110 Feet. Vessel_s minimum depth of water is twelve feet (12_). Vessel_s height clearance is forty-three Feet (43_). Vessel_s availability is for forty-two (42) days, starting 7 May 2001. All reference documents are available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA 23510-9102. A non-refundable charge of $150.00 is required, in the form of a certified check or money order payable to the U.S. Coast Guard, for requested drawings. Drawings are now available on CD-ROM. The CD-ROM sets are available for all cutters and will be free of charge to contractors upon request. This procurement is subject to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. All Businesses, large and small, are encouraged to submit bids for the subject requirements. Plans and specifications will be issued on or about 12 January 2001. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the United States Coast Guard. _ATTENTION: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs). The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
