Description

The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center, Norfolk Detachment, Washington, has a requirement for the Anatomic Pathology Division Laboratory Medicine Department, National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, Maryland. Services shall include but are not limited to the following: Services will provide for an automated slide preparation processor utilizing consumable reagents and materials to collect liquid used gynecologic cervical cancer specimens and prepare thin layer microscope slides for cervical cancer screening. The contractor will provide all supplies/services necessary to accomplish the required services at the National Naval Medical Center, (NNMC), 8901 Wisconsin Avenue, Bethesda, Maryland 20889-5600. The resulting contract will be for one (1) base year and four (4) One year option periods. This is a commercial item procurement and FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13.5 procedures will be used for this requirement. The requirement is unrestricted, full and open competition. FAR 52.217-8 "Option to Extend Services" and FAR 52.217-9 "Option to Extend the Term of the Contract" will be included in this contract.
