Description

The contract will be to provide fully Contractor operated and maintained helicopter flight services consisting of two light turbine helicopter (Bell 407 or equal) in support of the Bureau of Land Management and National Park Service wildland fire management programs. One helicopter will be based at Las Vegas, Nevada with an exclusive use period of 90 calendar days beginning June 5 and extending through September 2. The second helicopter will be based at Cedar City, Utah with an exclusive use period of 120 calendar days beginning June 21 and extending through October 18. The Contractor for each item will be required to hold a current Federal Aviation Administration air carrier and operating specification for the category and class of aircraft required under the contract. And as well will be required to be certificated under 14 CFR, Part 133, Rotorcraft External-Load Operations and Part 137, Agricultural Aircraft Operations. The term of each resultant contract will be one year with options to renew for three additional years. Approximate issue date of the solicitation is projected for January 11, 2001.
