Description

The contract(s) will be to provide fully Contractor operated and maintained helicopter flight services consisting of four light turbine helicopters (Bell 206LIII or equal) in support of the Bureau of Land Management wildland fire management programs. One helicopter will be based at the following locations: Winnemucca, Nevada, Rock Springs, Wyoming, Moab, Utah, and Erda, Utah. The exclusive use period for each location is 90 calendar days with each beginning in June. The Contractor for each item will be required to hold a current Federal Aviation Administration air carrier and operating specification for the category and class of aircraft required under the contract. And as well will be required to be certificated under 14 CFR, Part 133, Rotorcraft External-Load Operations and Part 137, Agricultural Aircraft Operations. The term of each resultant contract will be one year with options to renew for three additional years. Approximate issue date of the solicitation is projected for January 16, 2001.
