Description

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) intends to purchase one (1) -- Gerstel Cooled Injection System. CDC believes that its requirements are met by only one provider, Gerstel, Inc., however all responsive sources that can meet the requirements listed herein may submit a quote which will be considered by the agency. Description of the requirements are: (1) One each -- Gerstel Cooled Injection System -- a fully programmable temperature inlet with septumless head for .64mm OD dome tip needle, linear heating from 0.5 to 12 degrees Centigrade per second with 2 programmable temperature ramps; split/splitless and solvent vent injection modes (split/splitless maximum initial temperature 300degrees Centigrade ); liquid nitrogen cooling to minus 150 degrees centigrade. The system includes a C505 controller, handheld keypad, capillary column connection for 0.32 mm ID column, electronic pressure control, external cable, 10 ul syringe, start-up kit and manual for operation. (1) one each -- GC 6915-00 MASter software, which controls all MAS Modules and requires Microsoft Windows 3.1 or higher computer operating system. (1) one each GC 7474-91 TDS 2, ThermoDesorption System which features include single shot operation, Desorption temperature from minus 50 degrees centigrade to 350 degrees centigrade, dynamic desorption flow, desorption in split or splitless mode, temperature rate1:60 degrees centigrade per minute and CIS 4 trap temperature to minus 150 degrees centigrade. (1) one each GC 11222-01 Gerstel Twister , ten pack,. (1) one each installation and familiarization. If providing and FOB -- Origin -- estimate shipping charges. This is an all or none requirement. Delivery must be made within 90 days of purchase. THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION FOR COMMERCIAL ITEMS PREPARED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE FORMAT IN SUBART 12.6, AS SUPPLEMENTED WITH ADDITIONAL INFORMATION INCLUDED IN THIS NOTICE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT CONSTITUTES THE ONLY SOLITICTATION; PROPOSALS ARE BEING REQUESTED AND A WRITTEN SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE ISSUED. The following provision(s) apply to this acquisition: 52.212-1 Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial Items (MAR 2000) applies to this acquisition; 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items (JAN 1999); the evaluation criteria stated in paragraph (a) of this provision are as follows: (1) technical capability of the proposed system to meet the requirements stated herein, and (2) price. The clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms & Conditions -- Commercial Items (MAY 1999) applies to this acquisition. The following FAR Clauses are hereby added to this clause: The clause at 52.212-5 -- Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items applies to this acquisition. The following clauses listed in paragraph (b) of 52.212-5 apply to this acquisition: (1), (3), (5), (7), (9), (11), (12), (14), (15), (17), (18), (20) and (24).
