- Description
- Notice of intent to negotiate a sole source contract with Tesseract Technologies, Inc. Contract is for continued Project Execution Technical Resource Online (PETRO) support to the Omaha District and its extensive client base. Service consists of the following: Continue existing data structures, methodologies, software, and hardware to support clients with no interruptions of service. Continue support maintenance and upgrade of numerous PETRO specific tools that have been developed. Continued capability to maintain current data collection and reporting requirements; develop, document, and maintain information system functional requirements of documented data collection and reporting requirement; testing of software applications to ensure software design conforms to functional requirements; and demonstrate software to, and train, end users; and training and view and comment regarding System Change Requests affecting system functionality. Continue to provide the data center with support of two innovative web-based geospatial information system deployments. Service requires individuals with in-depth extensive/intensive experience and knowledge of existing PETRO resources (i.e. tools, and data) and methodologies. Service also requires individuals with specific technical backgrounds who have state-of-the-art expertise and experience in data base management, application programming, and information strategic planning/ implementation including chemistry, geology, and engineering expertise relevant to the PETRO program. This notice of intent is for information purposes only. Therefore, no solicitation will result from this announcement. Any firm with capability of providing subject service must respond to this notice in writing. Response must be supported by clear-and-convincing evidence that the firm has the capability and appropriate personnel to provide continued PETRO support service as outlined above. If no affirmative responses are received by 22 January 2001 to the effect that comparable services are available and more advantageous to the Government than obtaining the service under a sole source procurement, a sole source award will be made.
