Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial service prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is 7313. The solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-20. This solicitation is not issued as an 8(a) set-aside. The solicitation if for fixed price maintenance on three Kyocera 9000 printers, including finishers-stapler/sorters, duplexers, 500x2 sheet cassettes, and additional 64mb memory. All printers are located within the same office. Location of office is 935 Pennsylvania Ave., NW, Washington, DC 20535. The printers operate 24x7 and run approximately 184,300 combined total prints per month. The maintenance contract is required to include, at a minimum, the following: On-site repair service, Mon-Fri 9-5; Monthly preventive maintenance to include lubricate, clean, and install consumables; Next day response time when repair is required; Consumables -- fuser kits, developer kits, drum kits, maintenance kits, toner, etc. The only excluded items are paper and staples; Parts, labor, and travel; Automatic firmware updates; Loaner Printer for off-site repair; Programming support at cost -- include labor rate. Maintenance is to begin 1 February 2001 and end 30 September 2001. Thereafter, the FBI desires a unilateral option to renew on an annual basis for four additional years. The provisions of FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors -- Commercial, applies to this acquisition. The provisions of 52.212-2, Evaluation -- Commercial Items, are applicable. Price will be the evaluation factor used for selection of responsible offeror whose offer conforms to the solicitation. Offerors are advised to include a complete copy of the provisions of 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications -- Commercial Items, with offer. The clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions -- Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The provisions of 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statutes or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition.
