Description

The Southern Arizona VA Health Care System, Tucson, Arizona intends to negotiate a commercial item, sole source contract with BioMerieux, Inc. for an Immunoassay Analyzer on a cost per test basis. The equipment, a Mini-Vidas Immunoassay Analyzer will be used to perform D-Diner and Rubella Assays for management of patient care. The equipment will remain the property of the contractor. Contractor to provide analyzer, training, reagents and other consumable materials on a cost per test basis. The contract is for a base period with four one-year renewable options. The proposed contract action is for commercial supplies for which the government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested person may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposal. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposal. However, the government will consider all proposals received with fourteen days after date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the government not to compete with this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
