Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation is issued as a Request For Quotation (RFQ) and the number is Q5280010009. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-20. The National Park Service has a requirement for the following: there are two line items: Line Item 0001, quantity one each, Glacier Bay 260 Canyon Runner Center Console Catamaran Boat OR EQUAL with T-Top, Mercury Pre-Rig, 2 oil tanks, 2 tachometers, 2 trims, 2 water pressure gauges, deluxe controls, 4 supreme cables, 2 gallons oil, 2 fuel lines & filters, handrails and locking dash cover. The catamaran is required to have a twenty year life expectancy. Line Item 0002, quantity one each, Float-On Dual Axle Aluminum Trailer OR EQUAL to fit above referenced catamaran. Delivery, inspection, acceptance and sea trial shall be at: Biscayne National Park, 9700 S.W. 328th Street, Homestead, FL 33033-1144. Delivery shall be no later than April 15, 2001. This solicitation is to be quoted FOB: Destination. The following provisions are hereby incorporated into the solicitation FAR 52.211-6 Brand Name or Equal, FAR 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial Items. All offerors are to include a completed copy of the provision at FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items with their quote. OFFERORS MAY REQUEST FAR 52.213-3 PAGES BY FAXING A REQUEST TO LEANNE DANIELS AT 305-242-7795. FAR Provision 52.212-2 Evaluation-Commercial Items applies to this solicitation based on the following evaluation criteria (arranged in their order of importance, descending order) 1) Past Performance/Experience (submit three references for a similar requirement) 2)Customer Service & Warranty 3)Cost. To ensure sufficient information is available to evaluate the offers, offerors must furnish as part of their quote all descriptive literature (such as standard product literature, cut sheets, illustrations, drawings, warranty information or other pertinent information). The FAR Clause 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items and Far Clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders-Commercial Items, both apply to this acquisition. This acquisition is 100 percent set-aside for Small Business Concerns. The NAICS Code is 421860, Transportation Equipment and Supplies (except motor vehicles), wholesale and the Small Business Size Standard is 100 employees.
