Description

The National Institute on Deafness and Other Communication Disorders, National Institutes of Health, has a requirement to design, develop and evaluate laboratory-based speech processor emulators and wearable speech processors for auditory prostheses. This is a cometitive renewal of an ongoing project consisting of two contracts that are currently being performed by Research Triangle Institute, Contract No. N01-DC-8-2105 and House Ear Institute, Contract No. N01-DC-9-2100. The research will include human subjects. It is anticipated that two (2) three-year completion type, cost reimbursement contracts will be awarded. The solicitation is scheduled to be issued on or about January 29, 2001. Proposals will be due 60 days after the date of issuance of the solicitation. All responsible sources may submit a proposal which will be considered by the Government. THE SOLICITATION WILL BE AVAILABLE ELECTRONICALLY ONLY.
