Description

The U.S. Geological Survey, National Wetlands Research Center, Lafayette, LA, has on-going requirements for the acquisition of color infrared and natural color aerial photography. The majority of the photo acquisition will consist of flights over numerous marsh management and restoration sites along the Louisiana coast. Other photo acquisition will be in areas covered by researchers associated with BRD NWRC in the gulf coast states and southern states. The photo acquisition areas are divided into two (2) zones. Zone One (1) includes coastal areas of Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and all of Florida except for the Gulf Islands National Seashore area. Zone Two (2) includes all of the Gulf Islands National Seashore area, Mississippi, Alabama, Louisiana, coastal areas of Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Missouri and Tennessee. One contract may be awarded that includes both zones or two contracts may be awarded, one for each zone. Proposals covering both zones are encouraged. Period of performance will be from date of award through December 31, 2001 with the possibility of four (4) option years. Deliverables will be original film; one set of duplicate transparencies and ASCII file containing center points for each frame. Most of the photography must be acquired between October 15 through November 30 each year. Total estimated frames 1,500 per year (approximately 750 frames per zone). FOB Lafayette, LA.
