Description

Renovate Building 7 and 14-A at the National Institutes of Health, Bethesda, Maryland. These buildings will be renovated for use as swing space for laboratories, offices and conference rooms. Demolition work will include restrooms, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, walls, doors, casework and other parts. New work will include floors, walls ceilings, doors, casework, shelving, painting, plumbing fixtures, piping for steam, condensate, chilled water, air, gas, vacuum, drains, hot water and cold water, ductwork, lights, power, air handlers, pumps and various other components. The work in Building 7 includes repair and upgrades throughout the 44,000 squate foot structure. Many areas of the building will have only painting done. Other areas will have complete renovation. The work in Building 14A will include a complete renovation of around 3,200 squate feet, which will convert a warehouse area into laboratories. A fixed price contract is contemplated with an estimated value of between $3,000,000 and $6,000,000.
