Description

Maintenance and Logistic Command, Pacific proposes to contract the drydock and repairs of USCGC ALERT (WMEC 630) 210_, meduim endurance cutter, homeported in Astoria, Oregon. All work shall be performed at the contractor_s facilities, during the period of 30 May 2001 and complete 10 July 2001. . Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued on or about 01/26/01. Potential offerors are advised that the solicitation, specification and other notifications can also be accessed on the web at: www.eps.gov. Work items to include: production control, Gantt bar chart, appendages (underwater) leak test, appendages (underwater) pressure, internal, hull plating, ultrasonic measurement of hull plating thickness, hull plating, underwater body inspection, chain locker clean and inspect, tanks (MP fuel stowage and overflow) clean and inspect, tanks (aviation fuel service) clean and inspect, tanks (aviation fuel stowage clean and inspect, tanks (lube oil stowage & service) clean and inspect, propulsion shaft coating inspect and clean, propulsion shaft fairwater & rope guard inspection/repair, propulsion shaft bearings (external) check clearances, CPP hub seals & O-rings renewal/replace, propeller clean and inspect, controllable pitch propeller system maintenance, emergency salt water reefer cooling piping renewal, boiler stack cleaning, MDE exhaust stack uptakes commercial cleaning, fuel oil purifier overhaul, lube oil fill connection renewal, doppler speed log, fathometer transducers general maintenance, sea valve (<=2.5 inches) renewal, seal valve (>=2.5 inches) overhaul, sea strainer overhaul, miscellaneous duplex strainer overhaul, replace flash-type evaporator unit with a reverse osmosis desalinator, cope & renew corroded stem piping, valves, replumb steams supply & condensate return, fuel oil tank vent/air escape piping renewal, rudder inspect & repair, rudder stock bearings check clearances, anchor chain and ground tackle inspect and repair, anchor windlass (gen) level 2 inspect and repair, warping capstan (gen) level 2 inspect & repair, MSD deck connections renewal, sewage holding tank clean & inspect, grey water holding tank(s) clean & inspect, sandblast & preserve rudder post pockets, superstructure (gen) preserve, general, hull plating, u/w body preserve 100%, rudder preserve 100%, cathodic protection/zincs renew, electrical matting renewal, temporary services, drydock, propulsion shaft seal (mechanical) renew. The solicitation is issued in accordance with the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. All responsive sources may submit an offer, which will be considered by this agency.
