Description

17. The Navy plans to issue a "bridge" contract extension to Global PCCI (GPC) A Joint Venture, for provided labor services, equipment, and materials to perform all phases of salvage-related, off-shore, and other oil and hazardous materials pollution control operations, and to provide logistic support for all ESSM equipment when deployed for field operations. The extension will commence on 01 February 2001 and continue through 31 July 2001 or until the currently ongoing competitive reprocurement is awarded. The extension will also contain an additional three-month option period in the event it is needed. GPC is the incumbent contractor and the only source capable of ensuring an uninterrupted continuity of services pending completion of the competitive process for the successor contract.
