- Description
- The U.S. Postal Service is soliciting proposals for an Indefinite Quantity Contract (IQC) for work that may include any of the items detailed in the Unit Price Schedule and Specifications. The contract covers all the counties in the state of Oklahoma. Work may be performed at any Postal Service owned or leased facility within those counties. The initial contract value is $500,000 where the total quantity of work ordered during the term of this contract will not be less than $10,000 nor more than three million dollars ($3,000,000). The Postal Service reserves the option to increase the potential value of the contract in increments of $500,000 not to exceed $3,000,000. Additional consent of surety will be required for each incremental increase. Individual work orders will not be issued for less than $500 nor more than $250,000. Offerors are required to submit a single _Multiplier_ to be applied to the Unit Price Schedule to determine the value of each work order issued. The multiplier must contain the offeror_s overhead, profit, bonds, insurance and all other contingencies. No allowance for such items will be made after contract award. The duration of the contract will be 24 months, commencing the date of the contract or until the maximum contract value of $3,000,000 is reached, whichever occurs first. The successful offeror must have a minimum of five (5) years experience in the construction business; provide a copy of their Oklahoma State Contractor_s license; must have a local office and work force within the State of Oklahoma; and show proof of previous Postal experience. The U.S. Postal Service reserves the right to make multiple awards on this solicitation. This is a Request for Proposals, therefore, no public opening will be conducted. All proposal information received is confidential. The relative standing of offeror will no longer be disclosed. The Postal Service will award a contract resulting from this solicitation to the responsible offeror whose proposal conforming to the solicitation offers the best value to the Postal Service per evaluation factors specified in the solicitation documents. Proposal documents, plans and specifications will be available on January 5, 2001 at a cost of $50.00 per set (NON-REFUNDABLE)payable by check or money order only. Requests for packages shall be forwarded to Dallas Facilities Service Office, U.S. Postal Service, P.O. Box 667180, Dallas, TX 75266-7180, Attn: Kathleen Alonzo. Check or money order must be made payable to DISBURSING OFFICER, U.S. POSTAL SERVICE. Plans may be inspected at the issuing office and any questions may be obtained by calling Kathy Alonzo at 214/819-7201. Offerors are encouraged to submit their requests for plans and specifications by one of the methods offered by the U.S. Postal Service (First Class, Priority Mail, or Express Mail.)
