Description

SYNOPSIS: The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Air Traffic Control and Landing Systems Division (Code 4.5.8.1.2), St. Inigoes, Maryland requests information from potential manufacturers of Dual Channel Radio Frequency Rotary Couplers. THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION, BUT A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI) FOR PLANNING PURPOSES. This RFI does not represent a contract, a promise to contract, or a commitment of any kind on the part of the Government. The Government will not pay for the information submitted in response to this synopsis. PURPOSE: The purpose of this RFI is to obtain information from current and prospective coupler manufacturers to assess the capability of improving the reliability of the AN/SPN-43 Azimuth Rotary Coupler with current technologies. The replacement unit would have to be a form, fit, and functional replacement. Interested parties are encouraged to request a copy of the complete current asset technical specifications from the contract specialist Ms. Mary Jean Orwig, at OrwigMJ@navair.navy.mil. These specifications and drawings will be provided in Microsoft Word and PDF format respectively, immediately upon request. This RFI does not represent a contract, a promise to contract, or a commitment of any kind on the part of the Navy. All proprietary and restricted information shall be clearly marked. Indicate whether your firm is a small, small disadvantaged, small woman-owned, minority-owned, or a large business concern. Interested sources are encouraged to comment on the specifications and submit the following information at NO COST or obligation to the Government within 14 days of publication of this notice: Company name, address, POC, telephone number, description of systems and components, any brochures or pictures available, and a capabilities statement that outlines its ability to meet the Government's minimum requirements described in the technical specifications.
