Description

The Social Security Administration (SSA), intends to negotiate a sole source simplified acquisition with Nexdata Solutions, Inc., Boulder, Colorado, 80301 for maintenance (upgrades, modifications and enhancements) of retrieval engine software for the period 4/10/01 through 4/9/02. Nexdata developed the retrieval engine software under a competitively awarded contract and has maintained the retrieval engine software since 1994. The software is proprietary to Nexdata and tied directly with the data preparation and premastering processing performed by the Government Printing Office; therefore, Nexdata is the only source known capable of providing the required services. Interested sources who feel they have the ability to perform the services required can identify their capability to Kathleen Spangler, Contract Specialist, Office of Acquisition and Grants, 1710 Gwynn Oak Avenue, Baltimore, Maryland 21207-5279, email Kathleen.Spangler@ssa.gov. Responses must be received by 3:00 p.m. on February 9, 2001. The Government will consider all responses but a determination by the Government not to compete this action is solely under the discretion of the Government. This is neither a request for quotations nor an announcement of a forthcoming solicitation. Requests for copies of a solicitation in response hereto will not be honored or acknowledged. The Government does not intend to pay for information received. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no viable responses are received by February 9, 2001, the Government will issue a Purchase Order to Nexdata Solutions, Inc.
