Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Patuxent River, MD intends to negotiate and issue a Fixed Price Type Contract for delivery of approximately 400 Low Rate Initial Production visors, as well as options for a quantity of approximately 600 Full Rate Production visors, in support of the Joint Advanced Laser Eye Protection Visor (JALEPV) Program. The visors are designed to provide day/night (unaided) multiple wavelength laser eye protection. The Government intends to negotiate this contract on a sole source basis with Holographic Optics, Inc, (358 Saw Mill Road, Millwood, NY 10546). This technology combines holographic filters and dielectric stacks to meet the required visible and near infrared threats and hazards. This contract is to be issued under the statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), as implemented by Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and submit technical information and a technical capability statement in response to this notice. Responses shall be considered by the Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Contracts. Responses without a return address, mailing address, and company telephone number will not be recognized. Proprietary data in the responses will be protected where so designated. NOTE: Contractors must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database to be eligible for contract award or payment from any DOD activity.
