Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Business Center hereby gives notice of its intent to issue a sole source contract under the simplified acquisition procedures to ADAC Laboratories to provide maintenance on the Government owned ADAC Gamma Cameras and Scintillation Cameras located at four VISN 22 facilities: (1) West Los Angeles Healthcare System, 11301 Wilshire Blvd., Los Angeles, California, (2) VA San Diego Healthcare System, 3350 La Jolla Village Drive, San Diego, California, (3) VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System, 1700 Vegas Drive, Las Vegas, Nevada, and Sepulveda Ambulatory & Nursing Home Center, 16111 Plummer Street, North Hills, California. These cameras are operated through computer workstations for diagnosis of nuclear medicine patients. They are positioned, driven and controlled by UNIX workstations running proprietary software and require parts available only to the manufacturer, the calibration and tuning of these units is critical and demands only the trained technicians by ADAC Labs. Software that is used to run diagnostic and calibration work is propriety and is available only to the manufacturer. This procurement is being conducted under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) and other than full and open competition in accordance with (10 U.S.C. 2304(C)(1)(sole source) FAR 6.302-1 (a)(2)(ii). Contract to be effective for the period of One (1) year with renewal options for four (4) additional one (1) year periods. Responsible sources may submit a proposal, which will be considered.
