Description

BATF requires the expertise of a subject matter expert who shall provide recommendations toward the development and implementation of the BATF Hazardous Exposure Protection Policy. Work will be done in coordination with various Bureau offices. Once the policy is developed the contractor shall coordinate with various directorates on the implememtation of the order and the dissemination of equipment. He shall also work with the Federal Occupational Health service ensuring the best course of action for the mandatory fit tests for all users and the monitoring of the health screening program and address issues that arise regarding respirator usage. Contractor must have expert knowledge of the Bureau's National Response Team, Certified Fire Investigaator and the Certified Explosives Specialists programs. Contractor must be an expert in arson and explosives investigations as well as knowledge of the management and policies governing BATF. BATF intends to negotiate on a sole-source basis with James L. Brown, the former Chief of the ATF Explosives Division, for these services under 41 USC 253 (c) (1), Only One Responsible Source, for these services. This is a 100% Small Business set-aside using SIC code 541199. Contract will be for one year with four one-year option periods.
