Description

The U.S. Army Military District of Washington Acquisition Center, Fort Belvoir, Virginia intends to issue a solicitation for a contractor to provide all labor, equipment, materials, and supervision necessary for the replacement of roofs at Fort A. P. Hill, Virginia. This project will be Firm-Fixed Price -- Requirements Type with performance period for base year (365 days) and two (2) option years (365 days each). Work consists of but not limited to removal of existing shingle roofing and the application of new shingles, removal of existing metal roofing and application of new metal roofing, removal and installation of flashing, replace broken or missing slate, replace nailing strips, wood sheating, plywood sheathing, fascia board, rafters, rafter ties, removal and replacement of break-metal on fascia, removal and replacement of roof ventilators, install new continuous aluminum ridge vents, replace gutters and downspouts, removal and replacement of roof curbs, and clear debris found in drain pans. The magnitude is estimated between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The SIC code is 1761 with a size standard $7.0 million. The approximate release date is 9 March 2001.
