Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This requirement is set-aside 100% for small business concerns. Solicitation Number N00164-01-Q-0071 is hereby issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). Incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-20 and DCN 20001213. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 334419 and the size standard is 500 employees. This requirement is for the following: CLIN 0001 -- 1 each Audio Digital Recorder, Dynamic Instrument's part number DI-930-08. Dynamic Instruments is in possession of all proprietary data. Dynamic Instruments is the original equipment manufacturer for the Audio Digital Recorders which will be utilized in the Navy's ES aircraft. The units must intregrate precisely with the existing systems on the aircraft in terms of form, fit and function; therefore, the requirement is sole sourced to Dynamic Instruments, San Diego, CA. Inspection and acceptance will be at source by a DCM representative. Delivery is required F.o.B. Destination within 90 days after award. Selection for award will be based on past performance and price. This will be a firm fixed price contract and will be awarded utilizing Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The contractor shall extend to the Government the full coverage of commercial sale warranty provided such warranty is available at no additional cost to the Government. The offeror shall provide its Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code, Contractor Establishment Code and Tax Identification Number. To be eligible for award you must be properly registered in the Government's Central Contractor Registration (CCR). If a change occurs in this requirement, only those offerors that respond to this announcement within the required time frame will be provided any changes/amendments and considered for future discussions and/or award.
