Description

The U.S. Army Robert Morris Acquisition Center, Natick Contracting Division, anticipates award of a cost reimbursement contract to the University of Minnesota to explore their patented established technique to explore technology that will convert agricultural byproducts and processing residues available in Hawaii into value-add commodities for both military civilian market. The University's patented technique can convert cellulose materials to edible and biodegradable polymers as well as polymers for ethanol production in an efficient, cost effective, and environmentally friendly manner. The patented technique has been identified as meeting both military and civilian needs. No solicitation document exists.
