Description
The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Patuxent River, MD, announces its intent to contract for Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E) engineering and technical support services for Aircrew Life Support Systems (ALSS) and aircraft sub-systems in various phases of the DOD Acquisition timeline. The ALSS programs include aircrew-mounted systems, aircraft mounted systems, and systems that require a critical interface between the aircrew and the aircraft platform. This proposed effort will be a 100% Small Business Set-aside. It is the Government's intent to award a single contract to the offeror who provides the best overall value to the Government. The anticipated period of performance includes a base year and four (4) one year options. It is estimated that 66,800 man-hours will be required each year to perform the effort under the contract. Performance of the contract will be at NAWCAD, Patuxent River, MD. It is anticipated that a request for proposals will be available through the NAVAIR solicitation homepage, http://www.naviar.navy.mil/business/ecommerce/index.cfm, approximately 25 January 2001. This office will e-mail a notification of release of the solicitation and any amendments to all prospective offerors that submit a request to register for this information via e-mail. Requests for inclusion on the e-mail solicitation release list should be sent to Melisha Proctor via e-mail at proctormy@navair.navy.mil. Paper copies of the solicitation will not be mailed. All responses must be sent via email and must include the following information: (1) Company Name; (2) Company Address; (3) Company Business Size; (4) Point of Contact (POC) Name, telephone number, fax number, and email address.
