Description

The Bureau of Land Management, Ely, Nevada has a requirement to conduct and complete archaeological inventory of 13,500 acres of land subject to disposal through the Lincoln County Lands Act. Inventory and reporting to meet guidelines in the Protocol Agreement between the Nevada State Historical Preservation Office and the USDI BLM Nevada State Office. Fieldwork shall be completed in two phases. Phase I (6,250 acres), Class III inventory fieldwork, significance evaluation of sites and site specific treatment plans to be completed by June 2001, and Phase II fieldwork (7,250 acres) to commence after Phase I completion. Total duration of the contract including completion of a high quality inventory report with supportable site significance evaluation is expected to be 220 days. Offerors must be able to meet time frames which may require more than twenty to thirty qualified archaeological survey crew members to complete initial fieldwork in the year one disposal area. It is strongly recommended that all offerors attend a pre-proposal site visit estimated to be held February 7, 2001. It is estimated that the solicitation will be available by January 23, 2001.
