Description
Provide all labor, material and equipment necessary to perform dockside repairs including but not limited to the following base items: (1) Clean and Inspect Diesel Fuel Tank, (2) Clean and Inspect Sewage Holding Tank, (3) Clean, Inspect, and Test Heat Exchangers, (4) Clean MDE and SSDG Exhaust Piping, (5) Clean Shipboard Ventilation Systems, (6) Renew Steering Gear Coupling, (7) Inspect, Overhaul, and Test Weight Handling Equipment, (8) Renew Deck Covering System, (9) Temporary Logistics, (10) GFP report in accordance with solicitation Section H. Optional Items include but are not limited to the following: (1) 10% Minor Coating Repairs Sewage Tank (2,000 Gals), (2) Additional Temporary Logistics, (3) Composite Labor Rate. Vessel_s homeport is Charlevoix, Michigan. The place of performance will be the vessel's homepier. Vessel_s availability is for thirty-five (35) days, starting 21 May 2001. Vessel length is one hundred eighty (180) feet. All reference documents are available for viewing at 300 East Main Street, Suite 600, Norfolk, VA 23510-9102. A non-refundable charge of $150.00 is required, in the form of a certified check or money order payable to the U.S. Coast Guard, for requested drawings. Drawings are now available on CD-ROM. The CD-ROM sets are available for all cutters and will be free of charge to contractors upon request. The CD-ROM(s) contain WINDOWS compliant raster/vector formats (e.g. *.TIF, *.TIF (group4), *.DWG, and *.DWF, etc.) This procurement is subject to the Small Business Competitiveness Demonstration Program. All Businesses, large and small, are encouraged to submit bids for the subject requirements. Plans and specifications will be issued electronically at http://www.eps.gov/ and upon request by mail on or around 29 January 2001. The due date for bids is February 28, 2001. All responsible sources may submit a bid, which shall be considered by the United States Coast Guard. _ATTENTION: Minority, Women-owned, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs). The Department of Transportation (DOT), Short Term Lending Program (STLP) offers working capital financing in the form of lines of credit to finance accounts receivable for transportation related contracts.
