Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division, Code 4.5.8.2, St. Inigoes, MD plans to procure engineering and repair support necessary to fabricate modify, repair, replace, upgrade and improve components, assemblies and associated hardware for the RBDX system. A Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) for the engineering and repair support will be awarded to the Sensis Corporation, 5793 Widewaters Parkway, Dewitt, New York 13214 on a sole source basis. The statutory authority permitting other then full and open competition is title 10, U.S.C 2304c (1) Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements, as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. Sensis Corporation is the sole designer, developer, and original equipment manufacturer of the RBDX system. Sensis Corporation is the only known source for spare parts and the only company that can perform emergency repairs and provide immediate support for troubleshooting and repair of the Navy Control Systems RBDX. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Interested parties may submit information, no later than 15 days after this synopsis is published, which will be considered by this agency. A determination not to compete this proposed procurement action based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Services to be performed under the proposed BOA will span a period of three years beginning 9 April 2001 through 08 April 2004.
