Description

The Naval Aviation Systems TEAM has a requirement for engineering and technical support services for the AIR-4.6.1, 4.6.2 and 4.6.3 Crew Systems Department. The purpose of this acquisition is to provide engineering and technical services in support of tasks for research, design, development, test and evaluation, production and deployment of various Aviation Life Support and Survival Equipment (ALSSE) systems. These ALSSE systems include system engineering, emergency egress, crashworthy escape, life support and threat protection systems, systems integration and compatibility, analytical studies, data analysis and generation, strategic program planning support, simulation and analysis, and evaluation and adaptation of foreign technology. A cost plus fixed fee contract is anticipated. The anticipated period of performance includes a base year and four one year options with performance commencing approximately 15 August 2001. Performance of the contract will be at NAWCAD, Patuxent River, MD. The estimated total hours for the Base Years and each Option Year is 186,120 hours. This action is a follow on to N62269-95-D-0017 with . STV Incorporated, 205 West Welsh Drive, Douglassville, Pa 19518; N62269-96-D-0066 with Information Network Systems, Inc., One Ivybrook Blvd, Suite 140, Warminster, Pa 18974 and N62269-95-D-0016 with Ketron The Bionetics Corporation, 103 Arrandale Boulevard, Exton, Pa 19341. It is the Government's intent to award a single contract to the offeror who provides the best overall value to the Government, cost and non-cost factors considered.
