Description
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a Commercial Item prepared in accordance with the Format in FAR Subpart 12.6. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation. Offers are requested in response to this notice. A written solicitation will not be issued. The Walter Reed Army Medical Center intends to negotiate a one-year contract for maintenance of a Nortel Network System including all hardware & software support. Period of performance will be one year from date of award. The procurement will be conducted on a full and open competitive basis, SIC Code 4899. The major requirements of the SOW include: 7x24 access via Assurance Online & the world wide web to Nortel Networks problem reporting database, remote dial-in diagnostics & network problem analysisnext-day on-site support if necessary, software updates & upgrades with each new SW release, software fixes when necessary, on-line software updates, patches & fixes, call back response times of 3 minutes or less by a trained tech., 5-day-a-week, 12 hours/day shipment of field replaceable hardware for delivery on the next business day, phone standby suppt for major upgrades; The major systems to be supported are: System 5000 ATM with 1-4 boards (3), Sys 5000 ATM with 5-9 boards (28), Sys 5000 ATM with 10-14 boards (14), a 28K Switch, Centillion 100 (20), a Centillion 1400, Centillion 1600 (5), one BCN with 9-13 boards and one BayStack ARN. This will result inb a firm fixed price contract. This solicitation document incorporates provisions & clauses thru FAC 97-20, they are: FAR 52.212-1 Instruction to Offers -- Commercial Items (OCT 1995); FAR 52.212-2 Evaluation -- Commercial Items; FAR 52.212-3 Offeror Representations & Certifications -- Commercial Items (JUN 1996) -- offers shall return a completed copy of this provision with their quote; FAR 52.212-4 Contract Terms & Conditions -- Commercial Items (AUG 1996); FAR 52.212-5 Contract Terms & Conditions required to implement Statutes or Executive Orders -- Commercial Items (AUG 1996). These provisions & clauses may be obtained in full text via the following internet web sites: http://www.gsa.gov/far or http://www.wapa.gov. Price will be weighted equally with past performance in making a selection. Experience in the maintenance & support of established Notel Network Systems will be considered. Offerors must submnit with their quote, a record of recent performance on projects of similiar scope & complexity. At least three references must be furnished with names & phone numbers. Interested parties are invited to submit a written proposal showing clearly that they are cpable of meeting the Government's requirement as specified above. Offers must be received at the MCC-NA Contracting Center, Building T-20, Walter Reed Army Medical Center, Washington DC 20307 by the close of business, 16 January 2001. Note that the Government may award a contract on the basis of initial offers received without discussions.
