- Description
- The U.S. Army Special Operations Command intends to procure for teardown & inspection and repair/overhaul of Allison C20B/C30H/C30R3/M Gas Turbine Engines as well as the following accessories and components: (accessories) -- governor, fuel nozzle, bleed valve, fuel control, C30 panel control, turbine, and (components & accessories) -- engine teardown & inspection, accessory teardown & inspection, compressor teardown & inspection, fuel & oil for final testing of engines, fuel & oil for final testing of compressors, labor for repair efforts, parts required for repairs, spare parts not required for repairs, evaluation reports engine, compressor or accessory, pretest of engine, pretest of accessory, pretest of compressor as well as a on-site Field Service Representative (FSR) in support of the Allison C30H Engine installed on BOEING/MDHC 500 Series Aircraft which have been modified into MH-6/AH-6 Special Operations Configurations having a thorough knowledge of C30H Engine manufacturer processes, repair procedures, and components parts manufactured by Allison and its subcontractors or vendors. The primary uses of the FSR shall be to provide advisory service for updating the skills of Department of the Army (DA) maintenance personnel and to serve as a liaison between Allison and the Customer organization. Contractor shall provide any required C30H Engine Aviation Unit Maintenance/Aviation Intermediate Maintenance (AVUM/AVIM) level spare and repair parts. Type of contract is anticipated to be an Indifinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) for a five (5) year period. Period of Performance will commence 20 April 2001. No split award will be made. All contractors must be Allison approved maintenance centers. The proposed contract action is for supplies and services for which the Government does not own specifications and drawings to permit full and open competition. Approved sources are Allison Engine Company Authorized Maintenance Centers. Firms that recognize and can produce the required items described above are encouraged to identify themselves to the Contracting Officer which will permit their participation in current or future solicitations.
