Description
FISC Det. Phila. intends to acquire on a sole source basis with Children's Hospital of the Kings Daughter for neonatal/pediatric transportation services in support of NAVMEDCEN Portsmouth, VA. This procurement is being conducted IAW FAR part 12 entitled "Acquisition of Commercial Items". Naval Medical Center Portsmouth will require neonatal/pediatric ambulance transport services. The provider's transportation crew will be comprised of the following: an RN with at least 1 year full time experience in the emergency or pediatric/neonatal ICU, and have experience over the last 3 years accompanying pediatric or neonatal ambulance transports, a Certified Respiratory Therapist(it is noted that both the RN and Respiratory Therapist must have current certification in Pediatric Advanced Life Support and Neonatal Resuscitative Program) and an Emergency Vehicle Operator/Emergency Medical Technician class B or higher and certification in Basic Life Support (BLS). The providers ambulance will be specially geared toward the transportation of neonatal/pediatric patients and shall contain such equipment as incubator, car seats, pediatric cardiac monitoring equipment. The estimated level of effort for this requirement for the base period which is expected to commence on 2 April 01 through 30 September 01 is 10 transports. Four one year options with an estimated yearly LOE of 30 transports will also be included in this RFP. Award of an Indefinite Delivery/ Indefinite Quantity contract is the expected result of this acquisition effort. The NAIC code for this requirement is 621910. CBD Note 22 applies to this requirement. This RFP will be available electronically upon its release at www.neco.navy.mil.
