Description

The proposed renovations to Bldg. 2818 at the 166/AW, New Castle, DE, will include providing all labor, supplies, materials, supervision, transportation, equipment and all else necessary to complete renovations. "The work involves the renovation of 9,600 SF of existing office and storage space to new work areas, classrooms, and support facilities. This project will consist of work in the areas of concrete placement, metal wall panels, doors and frames, interior demolition, tile floors, latrines, kitchen casework, fire alarm, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, telecommunications, and interior painting." Award of a firm fixed-price contract is anticipated. The estimated construction cost is between $500,000 and $1,000,000.00. This solicitation contains a Price Evaluation Preference for HUBZONE Small Business Concerns, per FAR clause 52.219-4. The solicitation will result in a construction contract, which will require performance and payment bonding. This will result in a firm fixed price award based upon a responsible and responsive lowest bidder's offer. Be advised for solicitations issued after May 31, 1998, failure to be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) Database makes an offeror ineligible for award of DoD contracts. The plans will be available for viewing without charge around 16 January, 2001 at the Delaware Contractors Association at 527 Christiana-Stanton Road, Newark, Delaware (phone 302-994-7442). The performance period is 120 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. The anticipated award date is on 09 March, 2001 with performance start date 30 March, 2001. The SIC is 1542, NAICS is 233320. The applicable small business size standard including affiliates is no more than $27.5 million average annual revenue for the previous three years. The estimated construction cost is between $500,000 and $1,000,000.00. A non-mandatory prebid site visit is scheduled for 25 January, 2001 at 10:00 a.m. at Building 2803, Base Civil Engineers, Delaware Air National Guard, in the vicinity of the New Castle County Airport in New Castle, DE. The date for issuing the Invitation for Bid is on or about 12 January, 2001. This solicitation is UNRESTRICTED. All responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the agency.
