Description

The Federal Bureau of Prisons intends to make an award to an individual/group for the provision of professional pharmacist services to the inmates confined at the Low Security Correctional Institution (LSCI)Allenwood, Pennsylvania. These services would be provided during the absence of the institution's full-time Pharmacist during periods of annual leave, sick leave, and training. The resultant contract would run from the date of award for a base year of twelve months with the possibility of four (4) additional option year periods. The contract would consist of an estimated 30, eight(8)hour, sessions per contract year. Each session would be completed Monday through Friday, excluding holidays, between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. Contractor services may not exceed 30 hours per week. Offerors must have a certificate as a Pharmacist from an accredited school of higher education and must hold a current license. Offerors would be required to maintain medical liability insurance through out the term of this contract. A security investigation and clearance would be required of the Contractor prior to services being provided within the institution. The solicitation document, RFQ 428-0009-01, will be made available on January 19, 2001.
