Description

The Air Armament Center, Eglin AFB, FL, intends to solicit and award a sole source firm-fixed price contract to Southern Linc, 110 Eglin Parkway NE, Fort Walton Beach, FL to furnish and maintain a same unit radio, pager and cellular personal wireless Communications System (PWCS), both wireless and digital, for area-wide emergency communications. The service area encompasses Eglin AFB, FL and its surrounding communities West to U.S. Highway 87, East to U.S. Highway 331, North to Interstate 10 and South along the Florida coast line. The justification for this sole source acquisition is based upon a requirement for Eglin_s emergency and environmental personnel to maintain 24/7 communications with off-base agencies which use only leased communications from this vendor. The Period of performance is 01 May 01 _ 30 Sep 01 with four (4) one-year option periods for a total performance period of 53 months. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 513322 will apply. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals/quotes. However, the government will consider all responses received within 10 days of publication. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government.
