Description

THIS IS A COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION. SOLICITATION NUMBER:RK1N0302D1D2, NOUN: COMPUTER SYSTEMS (STILAS) SOFTWARE MAINTENANCE, CLOSING DATE: 26 JAN 01, NAICS Code 541519, email andy.eiermann@redstone.army.mil. This combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items is prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is: RK1N0302D1D2, the solicitation is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-20. The associated NAICS code is 541519 and small business size standard is $18M. The contract line item number(s) and items, quantities and units of measure are: CLIN 0001 -- for Computer Systems (STILAS) Software Maintenance (see description below), quantity-1, unit-year. Description of requirements for the items to be acquired are as follows: All operations of the RSIC are performed on the in-house computer systems from ordering to cataloging to circulating of material. The system utilizes proprietary software developed and copyrighted by SIRSI Corporation and no other source can provide the capability to satisfy this requirement. This notice is not a request for competitive proposals. STATEMENT OF WORK SOFTWARE MAINTENANCE 1. The contractor shall maintain, keep fully operational, the existing Redstone Scientific Information Center's (RSIC) Scientific and Technical Information Library Automation System (STILAS) software, including interfaces with other databases/networks. 2. The services furnished must be the latest and insure compatibility with existing RSIC/STILAS hardware/software systems, maintaining the functional capabilities now available, such as: STILAS Collection Management System and AIX Operating Systems. 3. Software upgrades/updates must be compatible with existing functional capabilities of the RSIC/STILAS System. 4. The contractor shall provide on-site and/or user hotline telephone support of all maintained software within 2 business hours. 5. The contractor shall provide updates, versions of user manuals and publications for all software as updates/changes are implemented.
