Description

Several sponsorship opportunities exist for fitness events taking place at Wright-Patterson AFB Ohio. Jarvis Gym will host a Pound for Pound Powerlifting Competition on 17 Feb 00. The event will start at 8:30 a.m. with a weigh in at 8:00a.m. The event will be broken into male/female age groups. The expected participation is approximately 35 competitors. Requirements for this sponsorship are fruit juices or energy/sport drinks for the participants. Jarvis Gym will host a Push Up/Sit Up Championship on 28 Mar 01 at 1130. This is a two minute timed event that is divided into age group for male and female categories. The expected participation is approximately 30. Requirements for this sponsorship are refreshments for the participants. Fruit juice or energy/sports drinks. Dodge Gym will host a Spring Family Fun Walk/Run/Bike on 31 Mar 01. The walk will take place at the Area B Par Course at 10:00 a.m. All family members are welcome to run, walk, or bike the course. The event is free and open to all base personnel and family members. Requirements for this sponsorship are refreshments in the form of bottled water, fruit juices or energy/sports drinks and prizes for participants. Dodge Gym will host an April Fool's Racquetball Tournament on 6 Apr 01. The event starts at 8:30 a.m. and will be a double elimination tournament. Requirements for this sponsorship are refreshments in the form of bottled water, fruit juice, and energy/sports drinks. Dodge Gym will host a Walking Club. The program will start on 16 Apr 01 and will continue for three months. The club will meet Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. Requirements for this sponsorship are beverages in the form of bottled water, fruit juices, and energy/sports drinks and prizes for participants. In return for sponsorship of any of the above events, sponsors will receive exposure through logo placement on all event promotional materials, signage at the event, and the opportunity to have a booth at the event to distribute product information. Sampling is also permitted. All offers will be considered. For details regarding specific needs, contact the Wright-Patterson AFB Services Division Commercial Sponsorship Coordinator. This is a solicitation for commercial sponsorship by a nonappropriated fund instrumentality of the United States Government. It does not obligate appropriated funds of the government.
