Description

Scope of Work: Interior construction of a Conferencing Center inside Bay 4 of Building 54 that will include conference rooms, an auditorium, classrooms, and an office area. Construction will include architectural features, audio/video specialty items, structural work, electrical, fire sprinklers, and HVAC. Architectural features will include walls, ceilings, floor coverings, doors, builder's hardware, finishes, furniture, and acoustical treatments. Audio/video specialty items will include rear projection video equipment and an integrated sound system complete with screens, speakers, microphones, cabling, etc. Structural work will include both steel columns and beams, and wood rafter framing. Mechanical work will include fire sprinklers and complete HVAC equipment and controls. Units will be roof mounted. Electrical work will include power distribution for equipment, outlets, and lighting, light fixtures, and fire alarm system. All existing utilities shall be protected and restored in-kind if interrupted. Temporary power may need to be provided to phase construction. Provide erosion and sediemtn control measures for all excavations for outside stairway. Provide as-built documentation. The job is estimated to cost between $1,000,000.00 and $5,000,000.00. The Standard Industrial Code for this project is 1542. The small business size standard is $17.0 million.
