Description

Pine Bluff Arsenal (PBA), Arkansas has a requirement for a contractor to design, fabricate and install a rough handling system (mechanical shaker) in accordance with technical specification number SIOPB-ETS-2000-TS-1. This system will be used to assist in the production of large chemical/biological filters. The rough handler shall consist of a pneumatic press mounted on top of a vibration table platform and will be used to compress the carbon bed of three different large gas filters. After the required force is reached, the rough handler is activated and the filter is vibrated for a time and then the platform and the filter are raised and let fall (free) by gravity for about 3/4 inch. This acquisition will be 100% set-aside for small business concerns. The sic code for this action is 3569 and the small business size is 500 employees.
